Message from Katherine - Essex Area Footpath Secretary
I have assembled just the maps into one document in a sort-of geographic order. It helped me to check the area covered as "Essex" - it includes Southend and Thurrock and LB of Havering as well as a few crossings in Hertfordshire on the London-Harlow-B.Strotford-Cambridge line.
I have also annotated a list of crossings - this time only for the Essex County Council - to see which PR0W crossings are on the maps and hence which PRoW crossings would appear to be unaffected. The list also has grid references which helps to find the crossings on a map.
The crossings on the Wickford- Burnham line appear to be essentially unaffected.
The mainline branch from Shenfield to Southend also appears reasonably unaffected from Rayleigh east - although Rochford 17 (the one that was in the newspapers) is down as "unaffected" when it's the one with the TRO closure which NR said at the last ELAF meeting would become permanent.
I find it rather surprising that the Sudbury branch (from Marks Tey) and the Braintree branch (from Witham) ARE affected. As far as I know the trains aren't very frequent nor very fast.
