Essex Coastal Path Latest
At the User Group (01/05/2023) Essex Highways provided an update on progress.
At best it is slow, with some sections still not approved by the Government.
The following is the state of play with no completion date even being talked about.
Sections 1 & 2 Tilbury to Burnham are fully open.
Section 3 Burnham to South Woodham Ferris and back, is being worked on to be completed hopefully in the next few months.
Sections 4 & 5 Burnham to Saicott are fully open.
Section 6 Mersea is not approved.
Sections 7 & 8 Salcott to Harwich are not open. No work started, with major issues to overcome when it is.
Section 9 Harwich to Manningtree is not open, approval needed in some areas.
