The 2026 Saltmarsh Coast walking festival
Maldon District Council has announced the dates of this year’s Saltmarsh Coast walking festival.
It will run from 25th September to 4th October, and will be bigger than ever, with more guided walks than in any previous year.
The Council hopes it will both draw outside tourists into the district, to walk the Dengie landscapes and visit local attractions, and encourage people who may have newly moved to the area to explore their new home.
Once again, the Ramblers are acting as partners in the festival. The organisers have asked us for volunteers to act as walk leaders and back markers.
