Meet Lavenham public CP next to the Cock Horse pub.arlier than usual start time is to catch the 9.51 bus Chambers no.753)to Sicklesmere. (grid ref TL 914 490, post code CO10 9SA.) From Sicklesmere we follow the old Lavenham to Bury track bed then left over to Whelnetham. We then walk through wooded landscapes to the strange village of Rushbrooke with its peculiar church. From here we descend into Bury St. Edmunds along the R.Lark for lunch. Many pubs and tearooms - recommended is Wetherspoons housed in the old Corn Exchange.
